Exhibition: “Artistes + Science”, Monaco
Sunday, 8 December 2019, 13:00 - 19:00

The Monegasque Committee of the AIAP presents a selection of works on the theme “Artists + Science”, with drawings, paintings, photos, videos, sculptures, and installations.

From Leonardo da Vinci to Albrecht Dürer and the Constructivists Pevsner and Gabo to Damien Hirst and Tomas Saraceno, there have been so many links between the reflections on the scientific universe and the creative approach of the artists.

The effects of the relationship between Art + Science are increasingly examined by and found in the work of many contemporary artists and have been the theme of several major exhibitions. These issues are more than ever at the heart of the concerns of our time.

The idea for the theme “Artistes + Science” was born in a meeting of the Monegasque National Commission for UNESCO.

The selected artists come from different countries, 32 artists live on the Côte d’Azur and these 12 New York artists are guests:
Caroline Bergonzi, Adrian Dimetriou, Laura Fantini, Kevin Kelly, Elisabeth Knowles, Marc Lambrechts, Eric David Laxman, Haksul Lee, Jorge Posada, Gregory De La Haba, Thierry Geoffroy/Colonel, Roy Roeloffs.

Prince Albert II is Honorary President of our art association.

Entrance is free.

At the Salle d’Exposition, 4 Quai Antoine 1er, Monaco.
