So said the old song and, of course, he’s the man to go to if you need to report a crime. But how exactly do you do that in France? Well, the Kent County force just across the Channel has thought it useful to tell people. It’s all on their website at www.kent.police.uk/travel.

We owe this useful information to the same Kent second homer who just four years back alerted us to the advantages of EUjet, a low-cost start-up based near Canterbury. We tried them, liked them, wrote about them ... and then they went bust. As we’ve said more than once in our travel pages, it pays to be very careful with new budget carriers, often underfinanced and badly managed.
